Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's Gala 2011

The 2011 Metropolitan Museum Costume Institute's Gala was a star-studded affair in NYC Monday night. The event is one of fashion's biggest nights of the year and the ladies certainly didn't disappoint on the red carpet.


Beyonce wore a Emilio Pucci dress from the Spring 2011 collection.

 Anna Dello Russo chose a McQueen suit and accessorized with an egg headpiece.


Bee Shaffer hit the red carpet at the Met Gala donning a strapless dark red Balenciga gown. Meanwhile, a sparkling diamond necklace, red lips, and a shiny midlength bob keep the sophistication level high on Anna Wintour's daugther.



Blaje Lively wore a look from the Chanel Fall 2009 Couture collection.


 Chanel Iman went the ladylike route, opting for a calf-length, white lace Dolce & Gabbana.


Chloe Sevigny kept it demure in a high-collared black lace McQueen gown.

Red was a hot hue of the evening and Gisele Bundchen started the trend in Alexander McQueen.

Hilary Rhoda is one of the few wearing McQueen tonight. She opted for a dress from the Spring 2011 collection. 

 
Jessica Alba was glowing on the red carpet with Ralph Lauren strapless gown with embellished details.

Pregnant Kate Hudson dressed her curves in Stella McCartney while Gwyneth Paltrow highlighted her hot body in a skintight backless gown by the same designer. Ashley Greene looked elegant in a one-of-a-kind Donna Karan gown after recently finishing up work on Breaking Dawn and Naomi Watts sparkled in sheer Stella McCartney.

Shalom Harlow looked like a majestic beauty in a nude and black gown by Marchesa.
